Winnie the Pooh
Aida loves her Pooh. In fact, that is one of the reasons I call her Aida Pooh. Pooh is like another member of the family. Quite often Pooh is buckled into seat belt, has to have hand held at the grocery store, he talks, he has to have his own dinner plate, and he is Aida faithful sleeping companion. It is actually very sweet to watch. The other day Aida was very insistent that we do pictures of her and Pooh and of course she was hamming it up.

Paying it forward.......
I'm Paying it forward thanks to Heather. So here's how it works. Sometime in the next 365 days, she will be sending me something handmade. So to hold up my end of the bargain, I must do the same, for the first three people who comment on this post, who want to participate. The rules? You will get something handmade from me, maybe not anytime soon, but sometime with in the next 365 days. If you decide to participate, you must do the same on your blog, and make something for the first three people who comment to your Pay It Forward post. So cool, right? Can't wait to get started!

New Fabric line....
Check out the new fabric line at Grand Revival Designs.(See blog links) It is called French Hatbox and is coming out in August. I love the Barefoot Roses collection that Tanya from Grand revival designed, I have some fat quarters, but want more! She also has a new line coming this May.
If you can't tell, I really like fabric......I get a lot of pleasure out of it!

Today
Today would have been my sister's 37th birthday. I miss her a lot. Lately Aida has been talking about her and wanting to visit her, so I think it is only fitting that I tell her a little bit about her aunt.
Purple was her favorite color.
She loved bunnies. She collected them and she also had two pet bunnies that I can remember. One was flop eared bunny. She loved those bunnies. She had collar and used to take them for walks.
She liked popcorn with Taco seasoning.(Thanks Gidgett for reminding me of that.)
She was a good listener, and good friend.
She was fun and had a great laugh.
She was the good sister and always stood up for me, especially in high School.
She was creative. She was good at writing stories and poetry. In fact, I memorised one her poems for an assignment in my 8th grade English class.
She was crafty, she could always make the craft projects and they always turned out the way the pictures looked.
She was a scrapbooker and quilter.
She loved flowers. She did my wedding flowers.
She loved history, vintage and old things. She was keeper of all things.
She loved to read. She loved Disney movies.
She loved kids and had a special way with them. She taught swimming lessons for lot of years and always took the criers and they always loved her by the end of the two week lessons.(She would dunk them, too!)
She was a great Aunt. She played dolls with you, taught you and your sister how to spell your names by singing it.
She loved the beach and collecting shells and wood from her walks on the beach.
She loved music and making up songs.
She loved to cuddly.
She especially loved her giggy.(blanket) She always had piece of her special blanket with her even until the end.
She was the peacemaker
